Founder, #ForTheStudents
Isaiah Martin is a graduate of the University of Houston and founder of the campus group UH #ForTheStudents. During his presidency, Isaiah co-founded the Full Support Partnership in conjunction with the Harris County DA’s office to provide free sexual assault services for UH students and 6 other Houston area colleges/universities. On campus, Isaiah tackled long voting lines with the usage of TDECU Stadium as an on campus polling location, he tackled collegiate food insecurity with a state wide food drive that culminated to $13k raised and over 2,000 lbs of food donated, he addressed COVID vaccine hesitancy directly by hosting a televised student leader vaccination panel, and he stood up for students during the winter freeze to distribute water to those and need.
Since leaving college Isaiah has worked as a volume consultant specializing in the procurement of large-scale aero-space government contracts.
Currently, Isaiah is running to become the first Gen-Z member of the Houston City Council Council. Focusing on a campaign centered on new ideas, Isaiah is working to be a voice on city council that pioneers Houston into the future.
